Yahoo- Clean up the message boards!

101 Signatures Goal: 100

Dear signer: This is a petition asking Yahoo, INC to clean up their news message boards. As many users know, people abuse the boards by posting racial/hateful comments, links to porn and SPAM sites, and threatening content. Users are anonymous and many have multiple accounts from which they abuse the service. Yahoo states in their user agreement that IP addresses are logged, and abusive users will have their accounts taken away and IPs banned. Yahoo needs to live up to their user agreement. Reporting abusive users yields no results. The idea here is not to disrespect freedom of speech or promote censorship, but to show that the abuse of these boards has been tolerated for far too long. Yahoo owns the message boards privately and reserves the right to moderate, and delete posts/users that are deemed abusive. We are simply asking that they do a better job of this and take abusive reports more seriously. All signatures that are abusive or incomplete will be deleted. This petition will be sent to Yahoo through email, fax, and snail mail when deemed ready by the petition sponsor. To protect your privacy, your email address is not necessary for the petition. Thank you for your time!
