Name: Elizabeth Kelly on May 10, 2010Comments: Our amazing terrier, Beetle, died 3 months ago from xylitol poisoning. I would have NEVER had a product of this much toxicity in our home had I known of it's DANGER to our dog. Gum and mints fall out of pockets, gets left out, lays dormant waiting to be sniffed out in a purse, coat or car seat. Please sign this.Flag

Name: Mary Barnes on May 11, 2010Comments: I actually heard a radio ad advertising xylitol and all its amazing benefits, I was angry that it did not mention that it is deadly for pets, not dangerous deadly. People have to know before they bring a food item into a home and they have a dog. It made me really mad. .Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 11, 2010Comments: Products containing xylitol should DEFINITELY contain a WARNING that said product contains xylitol AND that it is dangerous, even lethal, to animals. Even better, it should be banned and another non-lethal to animals product be used.Flag

Name: Nicole Heye on May 12, 2010Comments: Please make this small change to make a huge difference to pet lovers and owners across the US! And save the lives of dogs that die for unnecessary and preventable reasons. As a college student and single mother I almost lost my two dogs due to pack of gum that my 9 year old son left lying on his floor. I spent all of our savings to keep our dogs alive and my son from believing for the rest of his life that HE had killed his dogs. Not really a memory I would choose for a child. Thank you, NicoleFlag

Name: Susan B Metters on May 12, 2010Comments: While I understand the merit of this product to humans, Xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs. Considering that 63% of homes in the US have pets (75 million of which are dogs) most consumers would want - and need - to know this information (Source: American Veterinary Medical Association and Pet Food Institute). Don't wait for a backlash; please be proactive and include a warning on products containing Xylitol.Flag

Name: Roberta W Foy on May 13, 2010Comments: I think it's better to demand only that products containing xylitol carry an appropriate warning. I don't think it's realistic to expect--or "demand"--that xylitol should be removed from all products for the benefit of dog owners, no matter how important our dogs are to us.Flag
