Name: Kristi Havens on Oct 16, 2008Comments: Few other bands have had the impact on American Music as the band X. While they never achieved the mainstream success experienced by many of the bands they have inspired, the originality of their sound and their lyrics as well as their place in the American punk movement have earned them a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.Flag

Name: Brian Johnson - Old Fan on Mar 11, 2010Comments: X are iconic artists who transformed the 70's & 80's LA music scene. They became "the band" on the punk rock music and were the love of the critics and people of discriminating taste. Their lyrics, music and live performances left people exhausted and overwhelmed. I am a old fan and will forever be grateful for being able to know them, attend over 75+ live shows and experience X.Flag

Name: Kimberly Holcomb on Jul 4, 2011Comments: X really defined Southern California punk. They wrote great songs, rocked really hard, had a raw, rough, underproduced sound. They were right up there with the Circle Jerks, Fear, Black Flag, and they played shows all the time. I don't think there's another band (maybe The Ramones, who we adopted from the east) who played at Fender's Ballroom (in Long Beach) as often. I never missed them if I could help it. Quotes from the Wikipedia on them: "X received an Official Certificate of Recognition from the City of Los Angeles in acknowledgment of their contributions to Los Angeles music and culture." And "In 2003, X's first two studio albums, Los Angeles and Wild Gift, were ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as being among the 500 greatest albums of all time." Cripes! You have little girl pop musicians in there (and I love Rock Hall), and no X!Flag
