Wyong Council Rate Rises

42 Signatures Goal: 100

Wyong Council is hard at work again this year organising its annual "Rate Grab" from hard-pressed residents of Wyong Shire. If rising living costs were not enough! Council obviously don’t want to miss out on the ‘feast’ or the opportunity to gauge just that little bit more from already struggling family budgets. Are you sick and tired of receiving your rates notice to discover that it has been increased? We are also tired of hearing and reading how Wyong Council is crippled and needs to be rescued by rate rises. If councils can't afford to develop areas they should stop approving developments, especially in The Entrance area. We already have over 420 units, villas, townhouses etc on the market for sale in the 2261 area. Who can afford to live here anymore? We are all struggling now with mortgages & bills to pay as it is, but Wyong Shire Council don't seem to care. This is just another hit to the hip pockets. Do you like how council decides how to spend our hard earned money? Please make a comment and sign this petition with your surname & suburb to stop Wyong Council increasing our rates.

I'm very happy, finally I found a home, a place where we all together can hit back Wyong council's saddest joke (6.9% rate increase) you could ever imagine.
