Weight Watchers to cater for vegetarians and vegans

Weight Watchers have been in the business of helping the general public in their plight to lose weight and become healthy since 1963. Estimates suggest that 1 or 2 fifths of the population are absolutely vegetarian. Of the remainder more than half eat a mostly vegetarian diet, leaving less than 30% of the total population as frequent meat-eaters. Weight Watchers supply a huge range of ready meals including desserts and yet the smallest minority are vegetarian and (to my knowledge) none are vegan.. As vegetarians and vegans, our money is as good as the next persons. Why then, after 46 years, are Weight Watchers still turning a blind eye to us and refusing to cater for a large percentage of their customer base. We ask Weight Watchers to take this on board and finally open their eyes to and cater for us.

We are a group of people fighting to become fit and healthy whilst maintaining our compassion for animals in our choice to not eat them in any form and as such deserve to be recognised and have that recognition reflected in the products manufactured by and for Weight Watchers.
