Old wrestling fans have been excited and have been anticipating the arrival of WCW's franchise player "Sting" for 15 years now. Finally Sting made his WWE debut at "Survivor Series" and to a lot of the fans who were waiting for it, it was a little disappointing. Its largely due to the fact that WWE didn't give Sting the elaborate, dark, theatrical entrance his character so deserves. Most importantly they did not use Sting's WCW theme music. Sting's WCW theme music is honestly one of my favorite pieces of music of all time and it helped me to really become hypnotized and fall in love with the Sting character, much like what Undertaker's music and entrance does for his character. The melody is enchanting, epic, dark and beautiful all at one time. When I saw the commercial for the "2K15" video game and I saw that single violin player starting to play those notes, chills went up and down my spine. The orchestra of violin players turning around wearing Sting makeup was absolute genius. I thought WWE was flawlessly nailing Sting's arrival, that is until Survivor Series and beyond. The music Jim Johnston has composed for Sting is good, but good for any other wrestler besides Sting. The new song is a little bland and boring compared to the old WCW theme. I know this is a subjective issue and is a matter of opinion but aside from what song you think is better, theres no denying that using Sting's old melody is right for nostalgic purposes alone. When wrestling fans, for 15 years, say they want Sting in WWE, they literally mean that they want "Sting" in WWE. They want Sting just as he was, they want WCW Sting......the look, the music and all. It makes him being in WWE seem that much more out of place, it makes it seem that he is choosing to be there on his own terms and it makes it that much more special in general. Fans don't want an altered "WWE" version of Sting where commentators call him "The Vigilante" as he walks out to brand new WWE produced music. Fans all over the internet have been voicing their opinion on this....one fan made a YouTube video of Sting's "Survivor Series" debut and dubbed the audio over with Sting's old music. Another fan composed his own BEAUTIFUL epic version of Sting's old music and posted it on YouTube after Sting's debut, this is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQRlUNSTlzM....... Aside from that fans have been leaving comments and posting videos about it wherever they can. This is just a tip of the iceberg, if you do the research you will see tons of fans are on the same page regarding this issue. I think its time to channel all of it into one place, an online petition. Sign this petition if you agree and pass it along to your wrestling fan buddies. Let WWE know that entrances and music are just as important to fans as the wrestling is. It may seem subtle but its a big deal. We all know that Sting's Wrestlemania match is going to be his last match, and probably his only Wrestlemania moment/entrance. You have one shot WWE, don't blow it........listen to your audience, give Sting the emotionally moving, epic and beautiful Wrestlemania entrance he and his fans deserve, its best for business.
