Name: Dave Mitchell on Apr 22, 2007Comments: There are many people all across North America doing a lot less time for far worse crimes. If you don't believe me, look up the Canadian case of Karla Holmoka. She participated in the brutal raping and killing of her own step-sister(among other girls) and got a twelve year sentence.Flag

Name: Greg Chapman on Apr 22, 2007Comments: I have been involved with Kim for a year and a half now. Kim doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She is thoughtful of others, kind, with a great sense of humour. She loves her family and her kids very much. She is someone who ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. She is someone that could only do good for her family and her community. She wants to be there for her children and her family. I haven't met anyone who is in completly the wrong environement. Kim should be with her family and people that love her. She is not a violent person and does not have a violent past. She is someone who deserves love and support. Not a six by eight cell. Kim has lots of support from family and friends as well as myself. She deserves a second chance t life. She deserves to live her life.Flag

Name: Lacey Bryan on Jul 23, 2007Comments: I dont understand the sentence that Kim has recieved. Everyone deserves a second chance, and i personnally think the sentence was harsh, and wrong. Everyone deserves to live their lives out in sunny days, and rainy days in the sun, out and about. We cant always judge a book by its cover. Kim was in a difficult situation, and I assume the judges didnt look fully into it . You shouldnt be able to sentence someone to 40years in prison, who was in a situation, that she couldnt get out of. All across North America, people are getting less years, for muders, rapes; etc. All i have to say is, Kim deserves a second chance, a chance to live her life, to the fullest, live laugh and love . Help get her out of this mess. Wish all the best !Flag

Name: Misty Bryan on Jul 23, 2007Comments: honestly I dont think kim should be sentenced to a 40 years . I believe that she should be out and enjoying her life , as everyone should . I could understand acouple years maybe or even just one , but 40 years is taking away her life , How is she gonna figure out things in life , if shes stuck in jail half her life . I would say let her out soon ! shes a great girl who derserves a great life ! ask anyone. Thats what i think hopfully youll agree .Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 25, 2007Comments: My thoughts and prayers are with Kimela and her family. I find the sentence absolutely ridiculous. This young lady made some bad choices..haven't we all and has more than served her time and punishment. Why is she still there Don't you think there are thousands of true criminals who should be dealing with 40 yr sentences I just cannot believe what this young woman is going through. God Bless you Kimela and your family.Flag

This is the first I am hearing about her tragic story. I am shocked and amazed at how harsh her sentence was when there are real criminals out there with lesser sentences. Kim made some mistakes and bad judgements... we all have, but she's paid for them. Stay strong, Kim. I will be praying for you and your family.Flag

Name: Ron Sandeman on Nov 5, 2007Comments: This situation is a complete nonsense. The State of Texas, and perhaps the entire USA, needs to have a long, hard look at what 'justice' means. Americans seem to be long on rhetoric and self-promotion, but seriously short on humanity and reality.Flag

Name: Christina Lyon on Dec 5, 2007Comments: Let Kim go...Time Served...She does not derserve this kind of treatment...What you are tell the public, is that if a hianis crime is commented and you just happen to be there not even knowing what is going on, it is better to keep your mouth shut and allow the REAL bad guys to get away with their crimes, so you're not involved and get 40 years. Kim has 3 beautiful children that need their mother just as much as she needs them. Let Kim go.....Time served.Flag

Name: Jeff Smith on Dec 19, 2007Comments: Kim's sentence is too severe for the crime that was committed. When compared to other similar offenses and their resulting sentences, hers is an incredibly severe and unfair sentence. Kim deserves a parole review hearing to at least have her record reviewed as to her conduct while in prison, and to consider an earlier parole date.Flag

Name: Greg Chapman on Dec 21, 2007Comments: Well it has been 2 years for Kim and I know with many steps foreward! Kim is doing well under terrible conditions! That says a-lot on it's own! She is working on her Education but even getting courses is a battle! She has no trouble doing them and works hard once she gets them, but the system does not make it easy! With all the great support she has recieved, she is feeling much better and even more persistant to do well. Her hopes are high that at least a review of her case will come from the appeal! Thanks again for all your support and Merry Christmas to everyone! i hope this New Year brings some good news for Kim, her family and all her friends!Flag
