This is a petition for West Virginia Wesleyan College to not raise tuition for the 2012-2013 academic year. During a time when the Nation's economy was in a depression, Wesleyan commenced with building three new buildings, and renovating one old one. Why is New Hall called New Hall? No one has donated the $2,500,000 to have it named. 1300 undergraduates * $32,000 total costs = $41,600,000 per year (not counting scholarships awarded by Wesleyan, any of the graduate students, or Wesleyan's endowment). Who is paying for Wesleyan's facelift? The students, parents, families, and financial supporters of the students. With deferred maintenance a campus-wide issue, especially in dormitories, what makes the governing body feel we can take care of more buildings? Why is the administration building first, so the students can pay later?
