| 352 | Anonymous | This is one of two reasons for wanting to get over to the US. See my friends and see some of the old logging sites that I've read and studied.
It would be a pity if it were removed to make way for yet another golf course. |
| 353 | Richard Follett | I feel that it is imperative to save our historical railroads because once they are gone they are gone for good. children can read about the steam locomotive era but it can never substitute for the real thing which is a part of their heritage. |

| 355 | Rory Freeman | Good luck with the restoration! That would surely
be a railroad i would go to see... and i hope you
consider eventual restoration of the Hiesler in
Tuolumne, shes one of only two West Lumber's
hieslers left. |

| 371 | K. Wellen | I grew up visiting West Side when Mr. Bell owned it. I hope they will do as he did- fix and preserve the property, but not develop it beyond the current layout. A hotel would be fine, but they should do that in Tuolumne City where there are already sewer lines...and empty buildings. That makes sense and it would help the local shop owners too. |
| 372 | Phillip Boles | You guys are doing a great job with the WSL. Keep up the good work. |
| 373 | Shane Jackman | This is a significant piece of our Logging and Railroad History! I am a very very successful buisness owner. I believe the West Side Lumber Co. Railroad needs to be preserved! I am also connected to the State Dept. of Parks, and the tribe needs to respect the fact that the present buildings need to be preserved at any cost, even my own. Preserving this treasure would bring much tourism into our community, more than the present Casino. Please put money back into our almost forgotten past. ( Casino uses it as write-off's) Contact me as I am willing to donate and work so our children can have this valuable piece of history to learn from and enjoy! The valuable education of our past endures us for the future! Be a part of it. Thank You..... Shane Jackman |

| 381 | John Acosta | PLEASE save the history of this area! Once the railroad is gone, it is gone for GOOD! |
| 382 | Glen Lynch | Lets get it done |
| 383 | William R.Buchanan | I see the history and preservation of this site to be far more relevant to our history than endless native american and wilderness sites which never develope beyond closure. These types of political statments prevent learning by preventing access. Your restoration project should be pitched to Sacramento for funding. Better to spend the money on this than giving it to the teachers union to waste. |

| 387 | Glenn Tourville | Please preserve this historic land mark!!! |
| 388 | Gunther U. Aselmeyer | I have read about the West Side Lumber Company in the recent issues of TIMBERTIMES magazine and seached the web, what is the situation today. It is unbelievable, that all those buildings survived half of a century without major damage! If it is really necessary to build a golf course there, most of the historic equipment should be placed under cover in a new building, telling of the glorious past of that region!
