Name: Rick Riley on Dec 30, 2002State: TXCountry: USComments: Please consider this request with the thought of the small trash we will also be removing from the Park area. We as a group can be very considerate of the designated areas that we would be able to detect.Flag

Could you please email me back all the parks in Texas where there are active archeological digs going on. I would be interested in visting them. Gordon GibsonFlag

Name: Ray Velasquez on Dec 30, 2002State: CACountry: USComments: I would like to see it made legal for metal detector hobbyists to be able to detect in Texas state parks. This is a clean, enjoyable hobby, and contrary to what might be believed, metal detecting produces no adverse affect on the environment. It would be great the next time I visit Texas if I am permitted to detect in some of these state parks. Thank you.Flag

Name: Jonathan Boyd on Dec 30, 2002State: TXCountry: USComments: Many or most of the metal detecting enthisiasts signing this petition, are good respectable people who take this past time as a serious hobby. This hobby is loved by many, and the conduct that is /or will be portrayed if said state parks are opened, is unbeleivable. The care that most detectorists show, and the respect for the land and property is amazing. A chance to detect state parks would be great, not only for the state of Texas, but for those allowed to participate.Flag
