| 1401 | Dana Wilson | My family is very upset with our roads situation, I am just starting to learn how to drive and my instructor has made me scared because he is afraid of the damage I would cause if I hit a pothole, this has made me very nervous to drive so I have decided to wait until summer to continue, costing me more money. can I get the extra cost back from this city? Why do we all have to pay extra when we are not at fault? How many people have to die before something is done? Like the poor girl over a culvert last year, this city knew about the problems but tried to blame the Govn'mt of Ont. for the lack of money. Are they filling their pockets first before public safety? Things need to change, thank you for this, it helps us all but, this city doesn't care so far. |
| 1402 | JULIE PLANTE | IM sick and tired of driving on the sick roads that we have here in sudbury..I just can,t keep up with the garage fees..IM running around and around and dont no what to do.BUT my CAR needs to be fixs again..... |
| 1403 | Holly Ranger | THsi has become a serious problem The long they wait the worst they get and the more damage on everyone's Vehilce's. I know a numerous amount of people that have had to change a tire because they have hit a pot hole. Now where exactly is all that money that the tax payer's are pay out every week to the government. They have to do something about this it is out of control and people are starting to get very angry. |
| 1404 | Lynn Dempsey | the potholes will soon be small craters |
| 1405 | Sandra Armstrong | never mind the roads are terrible so are the parking lots at stores etc .....DQ/Harveys parking lot .....groc store parking lots....etc.
I have never seen the roads in Sudbury being this bad !!!! |
| 1406 | Anonymous | Every road in Sudbury is part good then it’s part worst. Stop the seasonal patch work...long term solutions must be presented.Use the technology advancement in construction and apply them to Sudbury.
Also, FIX BANCROFT the part between Levesque to Moonlight.
The city has moonlight ave in good condition and majority of Bancroft so why leave a 2 km of the road to SHIT.....???
THE SUDBURY GOV"T SHOULD PUSH THE MINES TO INVEST IN THE ROADS (charge them a corporate road tax) OR START a CITY BOND for infrastructure ....the Sudbury society might invest.... |
| 1407 | Lawrence | It's pretty sad that I can hit more potholes in sudbury on one street, than in an entire weekend down south. Our roads are absolutely horrid, and City Council wonders why tourism in Sudbury suffers. |
| 1408 | Joe Dixon | It's such a shame the city roads look like we live in a 3rd world country!! |
| 1409 | charmaine guerette | |
| 1410 | Anonymous | These are the most ridiculous roads I've ever had to drive on. Simply a case of priorities. North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Parry Sound and Timmins. No one else suffers these problems and our economy thrives in respect to theirs. Take off your head phones, turn off the Elton John and start working on our roads Rodrigues(sp?). |
| 1411 | joanne larose | this is a great idea you have and hope this petition gets the ball rolling to fix our broken down roads.
about 3 weeks ago my girlfriend was driving me home and hit a pothole in valcaron and busted her tire. she called the city right away and reported her damage. the next day the city was out fixing the pothole it is now april 4 and now the pothole is coming back. these quick fixes doesn't work there has to be a better way at fixing our roads. |
| 1412 | Julie | For the 2nd time in a less than a month we are making repairs to our vehicle. First was a muffler (there were absolutely no issues with the muffler prior to us moving to Sudbury 2 months ago). Today we find ourselves having to repair a bent rim, two broken hub caps, a flat tire and god knows what to the undercarriage due to a massive pot hole on 69 hy in McCrae Heights. This is riddiculous!!!! It's also embarassing to say that I live in a city that can't manage it's own roads even though taxes are through the roof! It's pathetic, really! |
| 1413 | Yvan Rancourt | Infrastructure was neglected for too long, now we pay. Let's put it right. |
| 1414 | Natalie Trudeau | I bought a car this winter and I had to get my wheel barings fixed 3 times, I lost a hubcap and I fell into a hole so big on Regent that a part of my bumper is broken. I can't go very fast with the car that I bought therefore I know that this is the city's negligence. I rarely see workers fixing the holes. It is unfair that we have to pay for these damages. I am fed up!!! |

| 1416 | Denis Perrin | My daughter works at a provincial park near Chapleau
for the last two years & I take the Sultan Rd.(dirt rd) for
60 miles to drive her. I'd rather be on that rd. than on the Sud. Rds. |
| 1417 | savanna | These roads are dangerous, we have to swerve to miss the damn things and we could get inot accidents. even the back roads of Wahanpitae are terrible, we have pot holes bigger then on some of the roads on Notredame! |
| 1418 | Kevin Wahamaa | As far as the road situation goes ... it's bad ... but what is worse is that the two arena's that closed made us travel further for practices and games ... so that being said ... I think I have hit every pot hole . And I am out $$$, two front end alignments this winter ... |
| 1419 | Johnny V | It is impossible to repair these city streets. The problem has gone beyond repair. Get the winning contractor to warranty the work for at least 5 years and then you'll see, the job will be done right the first time |
| 1420 | olivier cameron | |
| 1421 | Kristen Jacklin | the roads are an embarassment to the city. |

| 1426 | norm and olga gignac | since becoming the Greater Sudbury the whole town is going to the potholes - everything is going downhill - they should have left well enough alone and left the muncipalities as they were - every little town took care of themselves |
| 1427 | Natalie Dixon | Our roads in Sudbury are pathetic and those in power are completely responsible and should take drastic steps to correct this ever growing problem in our city. |

| 1434 | Vicky Mc Ivor | Roads are almost unuseable the front end on my new car is just about had it |
| 1435 | Jason Poulin | FIX THEM!!! |
| 1436 | Andy Larose | I drove 1600 kl to visit my family and all was pretty good till I hit the streets in Sudbury. I drove through smaller communities that had less road damage. |
| 1437 | Anonymous | FIX THE ROADS,NATURE WON'T DO IT SO WE HAVE TO. GARAGES MUST REALLY LOVE SEEING OUR CARS VISIT TIME AFTER TIME FOR NEW SHOCKS ETC. |
| 1438 | Josee | The roads are horrible. I keep breaking parts on my car because theres no way to dodge the pot holes! |
| 1439 | June Jahn | When was the last time Greater Sudbury had the roads redone. Not by sectons, and not "Pothole Patrol", but when was the last time that Greater Sudbury sat down and took in consideration of the amount heavy trucks/equipment and the tonnage of ore and dirt they carry that is pounding our pavement daily and nightly. What is the current pavement quota 2 inches? Are our roads thick enough to handle fleets of these vehicles? Even bus routes are lumpy and broken, can our roads even handle the weight of a bus? I live in Garson, my car gets beat on Falconbridge Hwy, Second Ave, and Elgin, only because I refuse to drive daily on the Kingsway or Lasalle. How does Greater Sudbury plan to come back from the mangled situation our roads are now in? It's truely imbarrassing that EVERY road you drive in Sudbury and Surrounding (Garson, Hanmer, Chelmsford, Azilda, etc) is just about completely distroyed. I dont even want to think about the hundreds in repairs my car has cost just on the beating that Greater Sudbury roads dishes out. I think its time to put more consideration to increase the thickness and quality of our roads, they are truely terrible. |
| 1440 | Baha | Dear Sir/Madam
Pleas take a look at Sudbury roads, we can't drive on the roads any more, its the worst in Ontario.
I can't wait to leave Sudbury because the roads.
Something have to be done fast.
Every body cars damaged from the bad roads, who going to pay for this damage?
We pay our taxes we deserve good roads. |
| 1441 | Denis Theriault | The roads in Valley East are among the worst I've come accross. Radar road, Hwy 69 north, Notre Dame Avenue and Dominion Drive are all in the worst condition I have since them in the 25 years that I have been driving them. Let's spend some money and fix them properly...! |
| 1442 | Jody Quick | Greater Sudbury roads are just horrible and are an embarassment, and are dangerous with drivers swerving to avoid potholes |
| 1443 | Brianna Jones | Sudbury roads need to be fixed. It seems like there are potholes everywhere in this town, |
| 1444 | Brianna Jones | The roads in Sudbury need to be fixed. They are getting worse every year and soon cars won't last for more than a year.. |
| 1445 | Anonymous | After avoiding potholes for the last month, I've finally hit one that warped my whole rim. This pothole was on a major highway of all places. It's unbelievable. |
| 1446 | shirley maldonado | How embarrassing it is to bring a foreigner to Sudbury to see the how badly the government takes care of the Northern Roads.
I am married to a Venezuelan and recently went home to visit my folks in the Valley and couldn't believe how badly the road had been left. Like ghost town quality. |
| 1447 | Neil O'hara | Power street in Copper Cliff in front of my house is a terrible I dont even see any crew out working , hats going on .... |
| 1448 | Anonymous | I lost a bumper to those stupid roads. And pot holes wtf. |
