I believe that teens at or coming to the age of 14 should be allowed to recieve a job permit, so that they may get a part time job over the summer. The child labor laws should be changed from getting a summer (part time) job at the age of 15 to the age of 14. With the parents permission, teens full comitment, and the schools decision (by grades, attendence, and conduct) the teen should be allowed to recieve a job permit from their school. They must fill out the permit forms, and when they apply for the permit, they must be or become of the age (14) within 30 days.

Seeing this kind of movement is exhausting but it keeps me moving forward. I honestly did not think this would gain this much traction when I started. It is clear that a lot of people are tired of the current rules.

i wanted a job so bad when i was 14. it teaches you responsibility way better than just sitting around all summer.

about time. my kid is bored out of his mind all summer and this would give him something productive to do.

finally some common sense. school just lets out for months and kids do nothing. let them make their own money.

YES!! Kids are capable of working part time at 14. Times are hard and extra cash helps families out a lot.
