Comments: This is one of the best things in Woolwich, one of the buildings that gives it character and makes it a town worth living in. Given the current financial climate, the epic redevelopment might not be such a good idea anyway. Recycling is always better!

Comments: This building should be saved as it is an outstanding example of Art Deco that future generations should be able to see for themselves.

Comments: This building is an asset to Woolwich, and many other towns would love to have such an interesting building. Surely they could keep the frontage even if they redevelop the rear.

Comments: With all of the money being sunk into the regeneration of the Woolwich area it seems ridiculous for the Council not to honour the things that made the town. The Arsenal and the Co-op shaped Woolwich and Plumstead, local heritage should be of important as character is something that Woolwich lacks.

Comments: This is a notable park of the Woolwich sky line and local history, and it deserves to be saved and restored - it would make an excellent hotel.

Comments: it is unthinkable that a building of such elegance and significance to the history of woolwich could be built nowadays, so proof that it is beyond repair and usability must be provided prior to granting permission to replace it with something else.

Comments: Greenwich cuoncil seem to be on self distruct for woolwich this is fantatsic art deco buillding along with the garage next door of the same period. When they had the sunday market it bruoght the whole place alive including this dead end of the mian shopping area .They seem to be hell bent on letting big developers in rather than help devlop or look after what is already thier look at ther own shabby offices at his end of Powis street not a good advert for the area is it
