PETITION PETITION FOR RESTRICTED PARKING ZONE OUTSIDE WOODTHORNE PRIMARY SCHOOL, WOODTHORNE ROAD, WOLVERHAMPTON What do you want the council to do? We have started this petition due to the increasing problem of cars double-parking and also in some incidences whereby owners are parking obstructively on the pavement along Woodthorne Road during school drop off and collection hours. This is forcing pedestrians (inc children and parents with pushchairs) to use the road as means of getting passed. This is bringing the safety of our children under threat and is also an increasing nuisance for the local neighbours to the school. Furthermore on many occasions the road is impossible to access bringing increasing concerns should emergency vehicles or larger vehicles wish to drive down the road during the busy times of the day. This petition is to request that Wolverhampton Borough Council implement a restricted parking zone on one side of Woodthorne Road South from the Yew Tree Lane junction as far as felt necessary. We would suggest that a single yellow line with No parking between the hours of approximately 8:00am to 9:30am and again between the hours of approximately 2:00pm to 3:30pm enforceable by parking tickets which currently cannot be issued by the parking warden. We, the undersigned, want Wolverhampton Borough Council to address the above parking issues and implement a restricted parking zone along Woodthorne Road whereby Woodthorne Primary School is located.
