Recognizing the rights of Iranian women as human rights,
Condemning the sanctioned violence against Iranian women in the forms of “honor” killing, child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual harassment at work including employment termination on the basis of gender,
Honoring the upcoming International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25th,
We join the campaign of “Women and Men Against Violence till March 8” initiated by the Iranian women; and hence, we are asking you to make the necessary efforts in order to
Guarantee equal rights for women and men before law and protect the rights of Iranian women as Iranian citizens,
Condemn “violence against women” by law and enforce the law,
Adapt codes in order to treat child abuse and domestic violence as crimes,
Provide safe shelters for abused women and children,
Take appropriate measures to put an end to “honor” killings, and
Recognize the rights of women to employment and prohibit sexual harassment at work.

با درک اينکه حقوق زنان حقوق بشر است،
با محکوم کردن خشونت رسمي عليه زنان ايران به شکل قتل هاي ناموسي، کودک آزاري، خشونت خانگي، و آزار جنسي در محل کار از جمله اخراج از کار به خاطر جنس،
با احترام به روز جهاني حذف خشونت عليه زنان در روز 4 آذر و کارزار 16 روزه مبارزه با خشونت جنسي،
ما به کارزار "زنان و مردان عليه خشونت تا 8 مارس" که توسط زنان در ايران آغاز شده، مي پيونديم و از اين رو، از شما مي خواهيم که تلاش هاي لازم را به منظور انجام اقدامات زير انجام دهيد:
تضمين برابري حقوق زن و مرد در برابر قانون و اجراي قانون،
تصويب لوايح براي برخورد با کودک آزاري و خشونت خانگي به عنوان جرايم جنايي،
تامين خانه هاي امن براي کودکان و زنان تحت آزار و خشونت،
انجام اقدامات لازم به منظور پايان دادن به قتل هاي ناموسي،
شناختن حق اشتغال زن و منع قانوني آزار جنسي در محيط کار. |
