Then now tell me, what's the gender of Jesus Isn't it he is a male. So, I as a famale answering this question, NO! women should not be priest.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 18, 2007State:Country: GBComments: I am only 14 so am sorry if i am compleatly wrong but someone said something about priests representing Jesus but at the time of jesus if he had come as a women, because of the social staus of women at that time, im not too sure whether he would of been listened to. I think jesus came as a man so as to fit in because if he was a woman his job would of been so much harder. but then im not sure because if jesus was the son of god the holy spirit could of worked in the people to accept jesus, regardless of gender. im not sure, what does everyone else thinkFlag

Name: Bill Harrington on Jun 4, 2008State: MACountry: USComments: I think the Popes recent action against ordained women is just one more F-you to the world from the Catholic hierarchy. Actually women played an active role in the early Church but male domination was gained after much female bloodshed where over a 300 year period and estimaged 3,000,000 women were killed by the church. I think young people are just not drinking the Kool Aid like years ago and gay people don't have to hide in a closet and throw off the scent of their orientation by becoming a priest. They are pursueing a spiritual path but has little to do with anything toxic as the Catholic Church.Flag

Name: Will Not on Jun 29, 2010State: New YorkCountry: United StatesComments: The reason there will never, ever be women priests in the Catholic Church is simple; the Church does not have the authority to make such a decision. Our Lord ordained the apostles, (all men) at the last supper. The Church cannot refute a decision made by God himself. I suggest you read the Catechism of the Catholic Church to find the answers to other questions you may have.Flag

Just as homosexual relations within loving, committed relationships are not a sin, and neither is having a woman priest. To say otherwise for either is to promote sexist discrimination. I cannot fathom them as anything apart from ignorance.Flag
