Women Of Color Day will not be recognized as an average mother's day celebration,but an extraordinary day for our women of color ancestors who paved the way through their oppression and depression of enslavement.accepting mental and physical abuse,degrading insults,and kids being murdered by white slave owners,and yet and still had enough strength and courage to stand strong holding their heads up high to pave the way for other black women and those to come after to do the same through hard and struggle times making history as well as sending a statement that say:that no matter what obstacles that may stand in our way,we as women of color can,have and will continue to overcome and rise above a level of accomplishment and achievement. enslavement couldn't stop us from moving forward,neither in this time or age will we be stopped from continuing to move forward and striving.this day will be a reminder of where us a black woman came from to who we are as a black woman and what black women stand for.
