Whilst most of us probably accept that in the future there may need to be some changes in the age of becoming eligible for state pension, the proposals now in place are too much too soon! Especially for the women so close to retirement, they have both earned the right to state pension and have had very little time to make alternative arrangements (we are talking a lot of years here). Also, the goverment argue the longevity point but what happens to the money people have paid in but unfortunately die before they get to claim a penny?
