Dear Governor, Representatives, and Senators, The State of Wyoming has a proud history of equality and the responsibility of every state is to the health, wellness, and safety of it's residents. As such, I respectfully request you continue to uphold these pillars of our great state.

The Wyoming Life Resource Center, in Lander, is dedicated to dignified and quality care of those most in need of specialized assistance due to severe disability and/or acquired brain injury. Governor, Representatives, and Senators, every person currently at Wyoming Life Resource Center has already exhausted the community efforts which were available to them previously, and has found a safe, healthy environment in the care they receive at WLRC.

Regardless of the outcome of the Study that HB68 created we ask that you remember the residents of WLRC and realize there are very few options for them.

The return of residents to community setting has been tried before, as has this study. This resulted in the death of some of the former residents within a short period of time. Although the intent was better than the result, the results speak volumes.

In these poor economic times I surely understand the need to cut budgets. However, when looking at the Department of Disabilities I strongly encourage you to make personal visits and speak to guardians to glean their testimony before making your decision in regard to Wyoming Life Resource Center.

Finally, Governor, Representatives, and Senators, please keep an open mind when reviewing the study which could be biased.
