Tom Musgrave | I noticed that Lee county has suspended most if not all dirt mining and their commissions have not given up their responabilty for this actiob unlike what i understand for my commission in Charlotte County

Rick Fried | It's time we considered the future, instead of the private gains of few. Hindsight later can't fix what we do wrong now!
Cathy Duprey | Dirt mining is a bad idea for the Washington Loop area. To take a beautiful area and turn it into a dumping ground is really unbelievable.
Charles Kindle | Dirt Mines destroy the pristine area of Washington Loop.

Bruce A. Clark | We are significantly upset about the mining potential in this area. Please do all you can to prevent this from happening. Thank you.
Carolyn L. Clark | Please help us fight this. This is a beautiful area that should not be destroyed by this mining industry. The potential damage to the area is staggering. Thank you for your help.

Philip J. Tirino | Washington Loop can not carry the large trucks passing as oncoming trafic as the road is very narrow. Further, the Loop Area is essentially residential and farm residential and should not be downzoned to industrial mining. The imjact on the residents of the area will be devasting in some cases, and in so far as the roads are concerned, even deadly.

Jeffrey L. Clark | Dirt mines in the Washington Loop area are incompatible with the existing land uses from several perspectives, including but not limited to a health and safety standpoint, water quantity/quality issues, protected species issues, and property value concerns. It is time for the Commission to put their foot down and preserve the peaceful quality of life that we expected when purchasing a property on Washington Loop.
Andrea M. Story | As a small grove owner near the proposed mines, I am additionally concerned about the effect those mines will have on our water table. If our irrigation wells fail, our grove will perish. The water for our home also comes from a well on our property. We moved here to enjoy the serenity of the countryside; that peace and quiet will surely be destroyed if there is a constant stream of heavy trucks driving by.
Jon Caron | Although I don't live on Washington Loop, I do visit the Charlotte County park there (Hathaway Park) and I do count on water from the Prairie Creek and Shell Creek watersheds.
David and Marsha Dryer | We live in the Three Rivers Subdivision on the north end of Washington Loop. We enjoy the habitat and try to save as many of the endagered animals as we can from the traffic on Washington Loop which includes Sandhill Cranes,Otters (yes!) and Wood Storks. In addition, we have concerns about the impact on the water supply and contamination of water sources from the prairies of eastern Charlotte County. We see the effects of phopsphates and other chemicals being washed into Shell Creek. We have concerns about our property value and the safety of Washington Loop. Bicycle riding on W.L. is becoming more hazadrous each day as trucks pass periously close and at extreme speeds. We live at 31001 Peace Street, P.G. 33982. Thank You.

Patricia E. Brazzi | Please, Please, Please, don't allow any additional dirt mines to undermine our land and our way of life. Just create a moratorium on dirt mines, as the surrounding counties have done, to allow you to put in place protections for your citizens. Thank you for listening.
Camilla Spicer | Although we have not built our home, we have owned property on Washington Loop since 1980. Please act responsibly in the long term interests of the Washington Loop neighbors and our county's water and wildlife resources.
Thomas J. Crocker | Do not let this be another Blacl Eye foe the County Commission. This must be stopped now.
