Why not jack up the tuition like you would do for no reason WHy can't you just take .4% away from every other program why don't you quit paying coaches so much Or how about the president of the school just take a 3% decreaseFlag

Some of those players worked there whole life to get to play soccer in college and more importantly go to college, and its definitely unfair to those 25 guys who don't get to play anymore.Flag

Name: Paul Detillier on Feb 2, 2008Comments: Being a huge WKU sporting fan, I was very disappointed when I heard about the soccer team this morning. I find it a disgrace that a university that claims that they have international reach, gets rid of the world's most popular sport. Not only that, but forcing the players on the team to leave them out in the cold forcing them to find somewhere else to play is plain ridiculous, and to all the management from the bottom to President Ransdell, we will not support management that leaves students just out to dry.Flag

Name: Anthony Bahr on Feb 2, 2008Comments: Soccer is one of the fastest growing sports in this country. With the increase in diffent ethnicities in this country, the popularity of the sport among these goups, getting rid of the program may hamper recruitment or diverse groups of people on this campus.Flag

Name: Sean McCarney on Feb 2, 2008Comments: I think its ridiculous that they have done this. The Western Kentucky soccer program is generally good every year and competes well in division 1. Why remove it There are boys that have soccer scholarships that are going to have to transfer colleges because of this ridiculous 3% budget cut. Are you kidding me Myself and many of my friends were seriouslly considering the possiblity of playing the sport we love at Western and now this is not an option. Ridiculous.Flag
