WKU President's Climate Commitment

The petition

We want President Ransdell to lead the way in moving our campus toward being a "Leading American University" in the fight against global warming by signing the ACU President's Climate Commitment. Our signatures indicate our support of efforts to minimize global warming emissions from our campus and our encouragement of President Ransdell to sign the President’s Climate Commitment.

We believe, as the commitment indicates, that “colleges and universities must exercise leadership in their communities and throughout society by modeling ways to minimize global warming emissions, and by providing the knowledge and the educated graduates to achieve climate neutrality.” We further believe that the commitment directly supports WKU’s mission implemented by Dr. Ransdell: “WKU prepares students to be productive, engaged leaders in a global society. It provides service and lifelong learning opportunities for its constituents. WKU is responsible for stewarding a high quality of life throughout its region.”
