To the Superintendent and members of the Aldine Independent School District Board of Education, we, the undersigned employees of Aldine ISD, hereby petition and request that we pursue a collaborative working relationship with the Aldine-American Federation of Teachers (AFT) to provide quality professional development for our educators and school employees. Aldine-AFT wishes to sponsor professional development trainings at no cost to the district and provide this service to all district employees. We ask that the district allow Aldine-AFT to conduct these trainings on district property during non-contract hours (after school for example) at a location pre-approved by the district. We also ask that the district assist distributing information to employees about these training opportunities.
