    Comments: This is just like the prohibition. Stopping the direct sales to places such as the Maryland Renaissance Festival, will hurt, the economy, by hurting the wineries, the faire, the vendors, which means youa ren't getting a cent!

    Comments: Many lesser-known wineries *depend* on direct sales. It's a means to get their product out to the general public when they might otherwise fade into obscurity. These small, local wineries are primarily family-owned and deserve our support. Please don't penalize these wineries by prohibiting direct sales!

    Comments: Its such a shame that small businesses get shafted by the big wholesalers, some of the BEST wines come from family winerys and for them not to be able to sell is unthinkable. Just another notch in the belt for large wholesale companys taking over the market.

    Comments: Not allowing local wineries to deal directly with customers will not only hurt, and or close the smaller wineries, but take away the right for people not from the state of Maryland to try and enjoy some of the best wines Maryland has to offer.

    Comments: This is serious, some Md wines are quite fine. The current law requires a middle man who only adds to the price of a glass of wine with no benefit to the consumer. Also, this law prevents direct wine buying from out of state wineries, many distributors here do not carry them. I have as hard time buying preferred wines like Md Renaissance Mead because of this lack of service of local distributors.
