Comments: I agree that these new fees they are trying to charge are absurd. The management can not be allowed to do this.

Comments: I agree. The parking is terrible here and these new rules will make it even worse. When you're paying 800 plus a month to live somewhere, parking should not be extra. I love Windsor crossing, but these rules are unacceptable.

Comments: I disagree with the new parking rules, too. I shouldn't have to pay rent for my vehicles also. I already pay rent to live here that should cover the parking expense. I was ok with the option to purchase your own parking, because it is an option. And if you don't like the first come first serve basis parking well then purchase your own space and you will not have to worry about it. However making me pay for something that I don't need or want is not American!

Comments: I agree that this action by AIMCO is unacceptable. Rent is high enough as it is without having to pay to park to live here. The $75 additional one time fee per year for the second car is nothing more than legalized larceny, not to mention the $970/mo rent without any incidentals. This is not going to motivate me to tell anyone I know to consider living here.

Comments: if you are going to charge...buy land, pay for a security company, and a shuttle bus to run every 3 minutes to take us to our vehicles; sounds stupid yes, but so do these outrages fees.the only thing your going to do is lose more tenants once their lease is up!!!

Comments: This whole parking issue is so grievous! When we first moved here each family had access to one reserved spot and the other car could park anywhere. When AIMCO changed that and made available the option to pay $10 for one reserved spot, it was then that problems began. Neighbors were pitted against neighbors (especially if someone parked in your reserved spot) and NOW, this will only be compounded and make matters worse because every spot will be "reserved" with a hefty price tag attached to it. So much for living in a "friendly" apartment complex! My only hope is that AIMCO will rescind this terrible "Resident Parking" plan.

Comments: Parking here has always been a problem. With the rent that we are paying (which is hard enough when you are on a limited income), there should be one spot assigned per apartment and then charge $10 for a second. This proposed increase is ridiculous and larcenous; I don't think this is the way to keep tenants! It is because of this that I am forced to break my lease ( causing me to be deeper in debt) and have to move in with friends. Something needs to change! This should not be allowed to happen. Bad move management! Does the corporate office approve of this?

Comments: I understand Management is just trying to find a solution to the parking situation which was already a problem to begin with. What I don't understand is how they think charging people for something that SHOULD already be included in the exorbitant rent will pacify people. Honestly, they are worried only about money which is evident in the outdated and crappy appliances, the paper thin walls, and black mold around all the windows. But I digress, this is about parking...I don't think this is a solution we can all live with. Back to the drawing board management.

Comments: I do not believe this should need to be pointed out to your organization at this time, but people are having enough of a difficult time financially. To raise these parking fees, especially at this time, is truly ludicrous. I hope you see fit to reconsider.

Comments: My lease states you will provide me with 1 safe parking space. You cannot then change this rule to make it a paid parking space. I have not seen nor agreed to an addendum. My lease is near renewal and this is the perfect vehicle to shop aroud

Comments: We have been residents for 3 years and a year prior we were at Woods of Williamsburg, also an Aimco property. For some reason the rules in Williamsburg were very different, and the policy worked! We all had one assigned space - and either car registered to that apartment could use that space. This idea of paying $10-$25 per month is totally ridiculous and we can assure you that we will be looking for a new home if this takes place. Getting rid of commerical vehicles and not having motorcycles take up a space the size of a car are two ideas that make more sense. Perhaps some spaces sized just for motorcycles as well as people who own both a motorcycle and a car doing as some already do and parking both in one space might help the situation. Removing unauthorized residents - those living in apartments and parking cars without being on the lease - would also be helpful. This new rule seems only to fatten the pockets of Aimco without solving any problems - unless a higher vacancy rate is the desired outcome.

Comments: Look lets be honest here how many people use the Tennis court, or the gazzibos in the little land islands. I think its cool they got a dog lot and I don't own one. If they got rid of the tennis court and maybe shortened the islands they would probably get about 20 more spots. I have 2 vehicles and I am in a 1 bedroom but I paid for one of the reserved spots. It all is about supply and demand they saw that their was a problem so they just figured lets make some more money.

Comments: As residents who recently needed to break our lease early and were held to every fee agreement in the lease, we are outraged that they think the can alter the lease agreement by adding unreasonable parking fees. Where is my guaranteed parking space under my lease? We would question if this action by management is even legal?

Comments: I agree the parking rules are ridiculous. I do not want to pay for a parking spot. If "assigned parking" is mandatory for everyone, then just assign us a spot, we do not need to pay. The complex just needs more parking spaces, and should figure out a way to may more.
