Anonymous | Please change the taste of Wilton fondant. It tastes terrible. I think Wilton could make a ton of money if the taste was changed.

Anonymous | It's just taste awful! I hate paying 20.00 for something no eats and everyone takes off the cake.
Danyelle Ballard | You give fondant a bad name!!! Not only is you fondant disgusting, but expensive. Most wedding I have been to that serve a fondant covered cake, I observe the guests actually peeling the fondant off and eating only the cake.

Anonymous | The taste of wilton fondant is not very good compared to the other makers.
Susan Barkasy | I like Wilton because I think it nicer to work with then the kind you make yourself , but I tell my customers how bad it tastes and steer them away and make my own. IT TASTES AWFUL!!!!
Mylinda | This is the most terrible fondant I have tasted. I would definately buy wilton fondant if they made a great tasting fondant.
Anonymous | the stuff is nasty!!!!!
Anonymous | i hate the taste and the smell !
Valerie Carpenter | I would buy your fondant instead of making it or ordering it online but it tastes horrible. Please change the flavor and you will have a customer for life.

Anonymous | your fondant, although good to work with, tastes like play dough. I do NOT buy your fondant and tell all my friends not to. If you changed your recipe, I would purchase it all the time. Michaels is the most convenient place to buy cake supplies, but NOT fondant. I don't like making it from scratch, but if that's what I have to do to avoid fondant that tastes like salt and flour, so be it.

Anonymous | I am just a beginner cake decorator and was relieved to find this petition. Wilton, PLEASE do something. What good is a perfectly decorated cake that you are embarassed to serve to people?
Tammy | Your fondant tastes and smells like paint thinner. Please make it edible!
Catherine Thomas | Gag! The Wilton instruction sheet claims that their fondant has a "mellow" flavor...I guess that's what "mellow" glue sticks taste like. What a huge disappointment...it was the first time that we had ever tried or tasted fondant. It will probably be the last.
Ross Thomas | Wow.... I was going to make my sister a birthday cake for her 18th birthday (a very special day). I went out and bought the ingredients I needed, and decided to try Wilton "fondant." Her cake was beautiful, decorated in white and pink Wilton "fondant." She saw the cake and was gushing about how beautiful it was, how she loved her family..... and then came the time to serve the cake. The evening turned slightly less enjoyable when our nine year old brother threw up on the tablecloth upon tasting Wilton "fondant." Needless to say, all remaining "fondant" was removed from the cake immediately following cleanup of gastric fluids. Though this product may technically be fondant, it tastes bad enough to upset some peoples' stomachs. Wilton, you will never have business from our family again unless you change your "fondant" recipe. That product is far from edible, and I, quite frankly, am surprised it has yet to be removed from store shelves.
Rebecca Diesing | Wilton fondant is inedible. It smells and tastes of chemicals. I refuse to use it. I won't even let my kids play with it like play-doh because it smells so bad.

| 435 | Debi Brim | I would keep a sample of this for brides to sample and would tell them to "wait until I get a trash can so you can spit it out .... and you WILL spit it out!"
And they always did. |
