LupeEeeeeeeewww!!
Sarah LefortI use Wilton fondant only because it's all that I can buy in my area. And as much as I love the look of a fondant cake, I hate when people want one, because of the taste of it. I always warn them that it is totally about appearance and NOT taste and recommend that they don't eat it, instead pull off the decorations or eat around the fondant. As for texture, it's great to work with, but cakes are for eating and I'd say Wilton fondant is NOT!!!! Please make it taste and feel better in my mouth!!!
Holly JacobsI will never put this fondant on a cake. It has a strange, chemical taste. I buy other brands or make my own and I tell others to do the same.
NicholasThe fondant is workable and useful- but that's about it. In terms of taste, it is not appealing. Some people think that fondant isn't even edible after tasting Wilton's. I don't think it would hurt at all to change the taste of the fondant nor do I believe it could change its consistency and durability by a large degree. More people are switching to other brands of fondant every day, and if Wilton doesn't act fast, it won't need to make fondant any longer; it will have lost all business with it.
AnonymousIt really is gross.. I've had people who ask me to make them cakes specifically ask for NO FONDANT because all they have had was the Wilton brand. You would think Wilton would have more pride in their name than to sell something so disliked and subpar.

AnonymousIt would be very nice if Wilton would change their fondant to improve upon the taste. Wilton's price is inline with that of Satin Ice, Pettinice and Fondx yet is very substandard in taste. When I do not have time to make my own I would purchase Wiltons ready made fondant if it were equal to or better than these other brands.
Marcelina MoralesWould have a tastier fondant by Wilton. Your product is nationwide and easier to obtain but people are looking for other avenues due to the taste. Please make a better taking product that people will enjoy
AnonymousI love Wilton products, I hate Wilton fondant. Please change the taste.

MelodyThis was the first fondant I tried. It was disgusting. Everyone picked it off of their cake and said it tasted like a rubber band!
Beth HarborI would never buy Wilton fondant to put on a cake that anyone would eat. I cannot imagine what they are thinking to keep putting out a product that nobody likes.
JoelWilton fondant tastes too bad to even be called food. Have some pride in your product and reformulate it to make it taste good!

wendyIts icky. You have so many other good products...whats our chances of this stuff improving???
LuAnn JensonI purchased Wilton's fondant once and will never ever buy it again......I am a home baker and a hobbyist. Wilton you certainly aren't meeting my needs. I prefer Satin Ice, Pettinice or MMF over your product anyday.

AnonymousI find that the taste of this product is very unappealing. For that reason I would not purchase it again unless they find a way to change this. Pliable and usable or not.

AnonymousWilton fondant is simply just gross ... even when you try to flavor it, it still has that funny fakey foam rubber smell and taste.
Georgina MarkesicI say down with nasty fondant .
Anonymousyep, its gross. sorry guys. the cake decorating world uses it to cover dummy cakes. It gives all fondant a bad name because many customers are only exposed to this and decide it all must be the same.

Anonymousi would of expected wilton to come up with something tasty.
CindyPlease adjust your recipe for a more enjoyable human consumption.

Maureen DyerI use Satin Ice or make my own. It would be so much more convenient to purchase Wilton fondant because it is so readily available.

AnonymousI have only bought Wilton Fondant when I was taking the Wilton classes at Hobby Lobby. Even though it is convenient, the taste is horrible. I have discontinued buying Wilton Fondant no matter what sale you have at Michaels, Joann’s Fabric, or Hobby Lobby. At this time, I choose to hand make my own Fondant which is 100 times better than Wilton Fondant. My customers have described it as the taste of Play-doh. If I continue to use Fondant in a high quantity, I will be buying and happily using Satin Ice.
Roxanne ZaroFlavor is HORRIBLE I wont even buy it when I get a 50% off coupon....if it tasted better then I'd buy it because its easier to get
Lynda GarciaI was always so sad to hear that everyone loved my decorating skills and loved MY cake but HATED the fondant! I hated it, too. Thank goodness I found the alternatives. I will NEVER buy Wilton again. I am a member a cake club w/ literally thousands of members. We ALL HATE Wilton fondant! We heard Wilton doesn't care that we hate it! I'm considering boycotting all Wilton products...
