| 4 | Sarah Lefort | I use Wilton fondant only because it's all that I can buy in my area. And as much as I love the look of a fondant cake, I hate when people want one, because of the taste of it. I always warn them that it is totally about appearance and NOT taste and recommend that they don't eat it, instead pull off the decorations or eat around the fondant. As for texture, it's great to work with, but cakes are for eating and I'd say Wilton fondant is NOT!!!! Please make it taste and feel better in my mouth!!! |

| 6 | Nicholas | The fondant is workable and useful- but that's about it. In terms of taste, it is not appealing. Some people think that fondant isn't even edible after tasting Wilton's. I don't think it would hurt at all to change the taste of the fondant nor do I believe it could change its consistency and durability by a large degree.
More people are switching to other brands of fondant every day, and if Wilton doesn't act fast, it won't need to make fondant any longer; it will have lost all business with it. |

Wilton's price is inline with that of Satin Ice, Pettinice and Fondx yet is very substandard in taste. When I do not have time to make my own I would purchase Wiltons ready made fondant if it were equal to or better than these other brands. |

I have discontinued buying Wilton Fondant no matter what sale you have at Michaels, Joann’s Fabric, or Hobby Lobby. At this time, I choose to hand make my own Fondant which is 100 times better than Wilton Fondant. My customers have described it as the taste of Play-doh. If I continue to use Fondant in a high quantity, I will be buying and happily using Satin Ice. |
