Comments: Dogs are important human companions. They are beneficial for people's health and well-being. For some people, their dog gives them a reason to get up in the morning. If people have dogs, then they need a place to take them. The dogs off leash parks also give people a place to socialize with each other while their dogs run, chase and play. We need dogs off leash spaces.

Comments: We need more dog parks and spaces to enjoy these animals who have become part of our families. We also need the support of our politicians to make this happen.

Comments: off-leash areas in our city parks need to be saved otherwise people will start allowing their dogs to run free anywhere they please just to allow them some exercise.

Comments: I am totally disgusted with the way in which the City is dealing with the dog park situation. Three years ago we were told that a City wide strategy was being formulated, now it is being left to individaul communities to resolve, or apparently to dissolve already existing leash free areas. The money and energy is apparently available to update tennis courts, build childrens gardens, establish wetlands, and build new soccer fields etc. but not to provide at least some partial funding and support for the thousands of responsible dog owners of Toronto.

Comments: Ms Bussin, As a long time NDP supporter and volunteer the whole idea of closing a dog park is truly a big mistake. I'd be more than happy to discuss this issue on line or in person

Comments: I am more than sure that the complaints made by all community members around Wildwood Park can be resolved. I hope one of your complaints is not about the noise from the dogs because it's very minimal!. If this is one of the main reasons, I guess you'll be closing the children's playground area as well, right Children make more noise than our furry family members. You should not close a valuable area of our community which is well enjoyed!
