Name: Nancy Boyd on Oct 23, 2005Comments: Please don't take this park away. This is where my dog walker takes my dog and this is where I take him on the weekends. He absolutely loves his park and gets excited when we approach it. There must be some solution the community can come up with to keep everyone happy.Flag

Name: Emily Fairfield on Oct 24, 2005Comments: I feel the dogs should have a place to run and be safe from traffic. I also appreciate the city for making provisions for off lease parks and should not allow dogs to be walked on any child's playground (create a bylaw) All dog owners should dispose of their dog's waste at home and only at home. I also feel that the people who live in that area have the right to enjoy their home. Their choice to not own a pet is theirs and they should not be made to feel unfeeling because of their choice. So, keep off leash parks, remove the garbage cans from the parks, restrict parking for each park to 3 spaces and see if those measures can please most if not everyone. Good luck.Flag

Name: Helen Swim on Oct 24, 2005Comments: There are very few off-leash parks in Toronto that offer our canine companions the room they require to run and play. The dog owners and walkers have always treated this park and its constituents with respect. Let's keep it off-leash and figure out a solution to such things as the smell of overflowing garbage bins - there are newer containers that will cut down the odor such as those found at Cherry Street Beach.Flag

Name: Michael Welch on Oct 24, 2005Comments: This park has been an integral part of our dog's life. She loves it there and we go to work without worry knowing that she is going to a safe, enclosed space that is tailored for dogs. Perhaps the city should be more deligent in their waste removal/pickup and less direlect as they are in most parks and streets in the east end of this city.Flag

Name: Kathleen Waters on Oct 24, 2005Comments: I hope a solution can be worked out to keep the park open. Chase, our beagle, represents a breed of dog that cannot be allowed off leash except in a fenced area and unfortunately, the layout of our land at home does not lend itself to fencing. He also has a heart murmur and really needs the aerobic activity of running with the other dogs.Flag
