Name: Kerry Milne on Jun 22, 2010Country of residence : ScotlandComments: I strongly agree that the government should be supporting John Muir's Trust on this matter. Far to much green space is being swallowed up to big building projects. Land should be protected and untouched, the way it has been forever! Proper stops need to be put in place now! I live in a city and and love nothing more than to go out walking in our woodlands and countryside on weekends with my family. It would be a big shame if people couldn't have the same experiences in years to come.Flag

Name: John Danby on Jun 25, 2010Country of residence : ScotlandComments: The wild landscape in much of Scotland is the country's greatest asset. It is essential to preserve and protect this in order to enhance tourism and outdoor recreation which are both essential to the Scottish economy. Protection of the wild landscape is essential for wildlife conservation, the creation of a sustainable landscape, to promote sustainable agriculture and local industries particularly related to food production and as as a resource in an ever more crowded world.Flag

A small coterie of landowners and energy corporations are profiting from the destruction of Scotland's wild land.Flag
