It is a disgrace that Plymouth City Council and Widewell School Trustees have allowed the Playing Fields to be locked. The residents of Widewell have enjoyed this fields for many years. It is the only save open area for children to play in Widewell. Responsible dog owners have lost a large open space to exercise their dogs. Local football teams are now being denied use of the fields for matches and training. Whats behind it Possible development, lets face it, Wimpey have bought the Texaco site and the BAE land - if they keep us off the fields for long enough they will be able to sell it with no public rights of way etc. Come on Widewell make a stand and sign this petition. Lets get the fields open for us all to enjoy
