Petition to have a blue plaque mounted at 35 Wardour Street London in honour of Whitehouse's first live action

We, the undersigned, believe that a blue plaque should be mounted at 35 Wardour Street in London (now home to O'Neill's Irish pub) to commemorate the first live action by the group Whitehouse, on 8th February 1982 at the Whisky A Go-Go. Over the intervening years, Whitehouse have become one of the world's most influential groups and their live actions have taken place in many countries across the globe. By signing this petition, we wish to acknowledge the critical importance of Whitehouse to several generations of adventurous musicians and artists.
