This petition is to show Dr. James White that there is serious interest in the Confessional Lutheran community for a debate on the merits of the doctrine of Limited/Particular Atonement. While there is a clear divergence between the Reformed Baptist and Lutheran traditions, it is fair to suggest that Dr. White is an authority within the Reformed world. As such, it would be a wonderful thing to see the two men enter into a debate. Pr. Cooper is aware that a number of individuals have put forward this request, and several individuals have even emailed Dr. White with no reply. Hopefully this petition will show Dr. White that there is serious interest. Hopefully both Dr. White and Pr. Cooper can heed the words of Peter and be ready to given a defense.
