It doesn't take much to get your own television show these days. Morons from Jersey, oversexed teens and chubby beauty pageanters prove that you don't need much talent (or substance) to gain viewership. So why is it that someone who actually CAN do what she sets out to isn't on cable tv's lineup?
Sonne Shields held her own against competent carpenters on HGTV's All American Handyman and proved the show's title wrong by being the first woman to take home the wrench-adorned trophy. But, instead of turning on the tube to catch Sonne in action faithful followers are forced to watch repeats of House Hunters and Love It or List It. Seriously? Give me a DIY chick wielding power tools over
whiny real estate agents any day.
