When Daylight Saving Time was passed into law in 1918, electricity was not as widespread or as reliable as it is today. Farmers and other workers did not have the aid of automated machines like they do now, and most Americans didn't even own an automobile. Today, Over 85% of Nevada is owned by the government and is not used by its civilians. Also, a majority of our state's population live in cities that are open 24/7. With reliable/renewable energy throughout our state, we feel Daylight Saving laws are out dated and old fashioned.

We request the state of Nevada to repeal Daylight Saving Time, and use standard time for the entire year.

Thank you.
