We have had enough of elected officials that presume to speculate on what is best for the citizens while exempting and protecting themselves from the devastating results. They need to join the rest of the country in the unemployement lines and bankrupcy courts!

    Comments: My forefathers came here for various reasons. On my mother's side, as a Contental soldier for the British. On my father's side, purely as French trappers/hunters. To me, it doesn't matter what "they" may have been thinking at the time of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, obviously. To me, the fact still remains, that the powers that be at the time, all signed a document, which exposed them to immediate exucution. They had doubts over the prospect of if they could fight the British and win, but they did it anyway. We should honor these men on this day. For they were willing to lay down their own lives, and the lives of their families, to build a nation that would give us the freedoms we easily forget. Let us not celebrate this holiday, thinking about picnics, and fireworks, but can we take a moment, and thank God, for giving these men the strength, and security they needed, the moment when we all, all of us, needed it the most. God Bless America! The greatest nation on earth!
