    Comments: Go Seahawks! I expect to pupil-place my 8th-grade daughter at SL next year for all the reasons stated above including the terrific teaching, school spirit, and IB program there. Oakton parents look at me crosseyed when I tell them I'd LOVE to be redistricted!

    Comments: My son graduated from South Lakes in 1999. He is currently a highly successful mechanical engineer who is working with robotic underwater vehicles. He was a member of the South Lakes Robotic Team for 2 years. The members of that team are now working on Phd's, are mechanical engineers and engineers at NASA. A highly successful group of students from South Lakes. People are afraid of South Lakes and don't want to send their children there. It has been a wonderful school that has produced great, successful students. I am in the unique position in that I have an 8 year old child and I would happily send her to South Lakes in the future. We need to ensure that all schools are funded, supported and balanced in the county to provide for the best education for our children.
