Coach Gary Murphy's position as head coach of Marshfield High School's Lady Jay basketball program is at jeopardy. As former players, family, friends, and fans of Coach Murphy, we support him 100% and petition to prevent the unnecessary termination of his illustrious 21-year career as head coach. Coach Murphy's coaching record speaks for itself, but the true victories are in the lives of the multitude of former players who went on to lead successful careers and lives because of his coaching and mentorship. We are forever grateful and indebted to this man's sacrifice and passion to develop young women into athletes and responsible individuals.

On March 19, 2012, the MHS school board will convene to hear arguments for and against Coach Murphy. This virtual petition is for those individuals not able to sign the hard copy petitions being signed in the area. Let's stand together and fight the good fight for the man who gave us his everything so we could become champions. Coach Murphy needs our prayers and support. Carpe Diem!
