Petition to elect separate condo boards in the Westhaven Condo Development, Chicago. On Wednesday, June 27, 2007 a small group of residents in the Westhaven Condo Development gathered to vote on condo board officers. In the time since that election, many of us have just gotten to know our neighbors - which would have been helpful when voting to elect people to manage important elements of our properties - our investments. Many of us have also realized that the two sets of properties (those on and around the 2200 block of Maypole and that on Wood St) have unique needs, neighborhoods and management issues. We\'re in separate police beats, are represented by different aldermen, have different safety needs, and our properties are very unique from each other. Knowing this, some residents have proposed that we vote to have two condo boards, one for each area - The 2200 Block and Wood St. In order for this to happen, 20% of the ownership must sign this petition so that we can hold a special meeting. Then 75% of the ownership must vote in favor of creating separate condo boards. Both areas will then be responsible for electing new condo board members.
