As seen from the backlash against the decision to end the programme, it would be greatly missed, particularly by the elderly and others who are fairly isolated in this rural area of the country.Flag

Name: Pauine Cotter on Apr 21, 2009Comments: As C103 was originally granted a licence under community radio scheme, it seems contradictory to me to remove one of it finer radio presenters who has a deep understanding of all thing rural and relevent to the community which he represents. Since David Young joined C103, his willingness and bravery in covering (even the more controversal) subjects has gained him much respect. I think it is a great loss to the West Cork Community to see him dismissed. Pauline CotterFlag

Name: Robert Carpenter on Apr 22, 2009Comments: Well done Ann. I too would strongly call for the re-instatement of the West Cork Today Show, an essential service for the people of West Cork. The manner in which David Young was treated is a disgrace. He performed an invaluable service for his listeners and then was dismissed without the opportunity to thank his audience or allow the same for the many people he entertained.Flag
