Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has created a pilot program to detour "day trippers" people who come in from outside of the city and park in neighborhood street spots. The program had no warning to local adjacent residents and has restricted the ability to park between 1:30 p.m.- 3:30 p.m Mon-Fri. This restriction is counterproductive as it eliminates the ability of residents to also park during that time. Rendering over 15 valuable street spaces useless to those who work a full workday and leave their car behind. This petition is to have CDOT remove the restriction immediately.
