I am writing an appeal to have Dr. Michael Weiss removed as Scoutmaster of Oreland Troop #1 effective immediately. Dr. Weiss no longer exemplifies the ideals of Boy Scouting. He is not a proper role model for the ages that scouting serves. He has demonstrated hostility toward volunteer adult members of the troop who disagree with him. He refuses to compromise with other adults on how basic scouting fundamentals should be organized and delivered to the scouts. He has resisted many requests to comply with the rules and regulations set forth by the National Scout Council. The youth membership of the troop is FULLY AWARE of the antagonism that exists between Dr. Weiss and the rest of the adult leadership. It is ubiquitous in the Venture Crew, especially since it is associated with the Chartered Organization and loosely with the troop. The Venture Crew has grown in popularity among older scouts as a way of enjoying age appropriate activities that Dr. Weiss refuses to provide for. The remaining adult leadershipâ
