Vote Yes for Ikea Auckland

Are you sick of paying over the odds to furnish your home Then sign this petition to say yes to Ikea Auckland. Wages in NZ are well below average and yet due to the anti big business environment court we do not have access to affordable products and healthy competition in the market place. An example of this being their decision not to allow Ikea to open a store in Auckland due to worries over traffic congestion. In order for this country to grow, attract workers and stop people moving to Australia we need affordable goods. This does mean big stores need to open in order to get the economies of scale that allow the goods to be so affordable. As for congestion, does it not pollute the environment more when you have to drive to 4 or 5 different stores to get the goods which would have been available in Ikea Or when a store has several smaller outlets all receiving deliveries in small quantities All these smaller stores have to be powered leaving a much larger carbon footprint overall. Get Real - we need big business and by putting off chains willing to invest in NZ we are becoming less and less viable not only as a investment option but also for the people living here. Individual who is sick of paying over the odds for good of all kinds in NZ. I am sick of the environment court blocking the opening of new stores which would bring fair competition into the marketplace and help to reduce prices. Examples: Pak and Save Glenfield Ikea Auckland There are so many great products available in other countries while New Zealanders have to make do with out of date products and prices.
