Final supporters
The Friends of Greenbelt Theatre, a non-profit organization, is working to incubate a worker’s cooperative that would bring diverse film programming -- including independent, art house, repertory, and educational content -- to the Old Greenbelt Theatre. We want to offer more to Greenbelters with film series, classes, events, and festivals. There is so much potential in our historic theater - let's see it open to the public and serving our community as much as possible! We believe these goals will not only benefit the economic development of Roosevelt Center but also foster a greater sense of community among all areas of Greenbelt. If you'd like to see this change come to Greenbelt, please sign our petition now. Thank you!

We need an independent theater in this area and PG Old Greenbelt is a perfect place to make it happen.
of the three proposals for operating the theatre, this is by far the most beneficial to the city and community in general
Greenbelt needs a theater that shows programming that is different from that shown in all the other theaters in the area.Classic films and film festivals broaden the horizon of citizens and make us better participants in city affairs.
I would like to see the community have more of a say in how the theater is used.
I enthusiastically support the mission and vision of the Greenbelt Cinema Cooperative. The solid planning and innovative direction proposed would make Greenbelt a destination for anyone and everyone with interests in film. Let's put us on the map, folks!
