We Support Digital/Social Media Marketing Investment for Harness Racing
We believe that Harness Racing can have a positive future, but only if the sport invests in and markets itself to new generations of fans, many of whom are heavy users of social and digital media channels. We support the USTA's initial investments into the USTA funded Digital/Social Media Marketing Initiative and call for expanded growth of the initiative. We also believe in a funding mechanism that goes above and beyond the USTA investment through an allocation of a small (.05-1%) of purses into a central marketing budget that can be used to build out positive awareness, visibility and engagement with the sport which will result in higher handles, more fans, more international visibility, new owners and a sound strategy for the sport's growth for this generation and beyond.
