Name: John Sturm on Feb 3, 2013Comments: Having worked at Rhiwbina library I know first hand just how vital to the community the service is. It Is not just a place for books, but the very real heart of the community. Cutting opening hours is not the way to make big savings, that needs to be addressed at a higher level (where there really is wastage).Flag

Name: Gill Jones on Feb 3, 2013Comments: I feel a reduction in the opening hours in Rhiwbina Library would be a great shame. It is a busy Library, very well used, and how would this affect the staff? Would some staff lose their jobs? Our Libraries are a great source of education and information for people of all ages. Please don't make any changes.Flag

Name: Anthony Ritson on Feb 6, 2013Comments: I am strongly opposed to any reduction in the opening hours of Rhiwbina library. This is a superb community facility, well used and extremely popular. The Council grossly under values the city's libraries, and the service should be expanded, not reduced. Cut back the bureaucrats in County Hall instead, and the excessive councillors allowances and chief officer salaries.Flag

Name: Don Armstrong on Feb 6, 2013Comments: The library Is important to the people of Rhiwbina and surrounding areas. There are a lot of older people ( also I am sure a lot of younger people )who need the social and culture of this service, and once you reduce the opening hours , you are on a slippery downslope which will eventually see the total closure of this valuable serviceFlag

Name: Berwyn Prys Jones on Feb 6, 2013Comments: Rhiwbina has been losing facilities for some considerable time, partly through its shortage of parking spaces. Losing the well-used library would be a further blow to the area by reducing even further the number of people who use it as a shopping centre. It might well contribute, too, to the closure of just-still-viable businesses here..Flag

That should surely tell you how much in demand the service is.Flag
