Public boaters have been anchoring on sandbar in front of Jewfish Key Island and spending days and nights on their boats. There is a need for a floating public toilet for the public to use while anchored on sandbar. Portable floating toilets are the solution and will provide essential services to the public and help keep the waters clean. Patrons of the sandbar also need a place to dispose of dogs feces since this area is also a playground for dogs coming out with owners to spend the day. There are very few dog beaches in the area and this sandbar provides a place for the animals to enjoy the water as well. By signing this Petition, I am voting in favor of having a portable floating toilet placed on the sandbar for seasonal use and during busy times especially weekends. I respectfully request that the county, city and State of Florida work together to come up with funding to provide at least 1 floating portable toliets as soon as funding can be obtained.
