This petition was created to show that we will not sit idly by while some stranger ruins one of the best fantasy series ever. The Wheel of Time was a series created by author Robert Jordan. The first book, The Eye of the World, set the stage for a world full of realistic fleshed-out characters, heroes given proper motivation and one of the best fitting magic systems to date! The last book, A Memory of Light, is complete trash. The reason there is such a difference between the two mostly has to do with the untimely death of the original author. This sparked the need for an author to finish these wonderful stories and take Mr. Jordan's fans where he will never get to take us. And this new author ruined everything, from transforming original characters into stereotypes barely worth mentioning to blatantly ignoring large and important plot points. To make a long story short, it was a travesty. Of literature. Of fantasy. Of the world we, Mr. Jordan's fans, loved and held dear. For fans of the series the problems, and solution, are quite clear. Get rid of this fake author and get a REAL author with talent and passion to take up the fight against the Dark One. This petition is not aimed in any direction but I felt that something, ANYTHING, was better than just letting go. Tai'daishar.
