Let it be known to those who hold the levers of power in this Our Sceptred Isle that We The British People love our British Broadcasting Corporation.... our Auntie!

Furthermore let it be known that we demand that those in power do not allow the exploitation by the gutter-media and other vested interests of any unfortunate mistakes made by programme makers to damage or undermine her.

That they shall also staunchly resist attempts by her rivals and vested interests who would relish in her demise to dismantle or reduce the scope of her activities and further their own less scrupulous aims.

The BBC stands as a bulwark against the tide of influence, sponsorship, advertising, vested interests, mediocrity and indifference that threatens the world and our land. We the thinking people of Britain stand with her and demand the support of our leaders in this.

In a time when much has been taken from us, when we must endure financial pain and hardships through the faults of others, when our dignity and identity as a people is under threat, let it be known that when they threaten our Auntie that we shall fight them in the supermarkets, we shall fight them in the shopping malls, on the Internet, on Twitter, on Facebook, in the ballet box........
