Many women around the globe do not receive adequate health care, education, employment opportunities/conditions, and basic human rights essential for survival. Being an active feminist, I have uncovered the harsh reality of being a woman in Cambodia through extensive research. I have been trying to make the connection between women in developed countries and women who are not as fortunate, such as those in Cambodia. By doing so, I will be able to better help the women in that society through a series of goals I have set. My first goal is to uncover WHAT it means to be a woman in our society. How are women defined Are we treated with the respect that we deserve Are there women in our lives who we can look up to for guidance Taylor Swift, being an influential woman in the music industry, empowers and impacts the lives of many girls around the world. She is a tremendous rolemodel and presents herself in a manner that is respectful. Furthermore, she has CONFIDENCE, something that too many girls are lacking. The first step in my movement is to make it evident that there are thousands and thousands of girls around the world that are influenced by Taylor Swift and her music.
